A. I have no knowledge of whether they were or not, except that God told Moses to make another set of tables like unto the first. I would assume that if the first were sapphire that the second would have been, and they are not.
iwillgonow: What I've heard is that the stones are some sort of three dimensional crystal, which is so perfect and clear that the writting on ONLY ONE SIDE appears perfectly on the other side.

iwillgonow: I've seen pictures of what they've done to the site of Mt. Sinai. It's a military installation, complete with barbed wire fences and confidentiality and everything, to keep people away from it.

iwillgonow: I said that the angel told me to take the tables of stone out of the Ark of the Covenant, and the four of them took hold of the corners of the Mercy Seat and lifted it so that I could get to the tables of stone. I took them out and backed away while they set the Mercy Seat back down on the Ark. I just stood there wondering what to do. The angel came and took the tables and put them on a stone shelf in the chamber. That is where they are at this point in time, that is also, where the video is.

psycho314t: But then Ron had an experience that changed his life. One day, he and the "prophet" were sitting on the ground just outside the entrance into the cave system- Ron's helper was inside. Ron was working on the radar scanner- changing the paper or something- and the "prophet" was in the shade of a large bush eating his lunch. Where they were sitting was, at that time, many feet lower than the ground level just behind them because this was where Ron had excavated down years earlier. It's necessary to understand this in light of the next event.

psycho314t: Although the escarpment is extremely long, today it is surrounded by buildings, fences and stone walls which prevent anyone coming into the area except through one particular street. And the vendors along that street have been there day after day as long as Ron had worked there and he knew them well. There was no doubt about it- the stranger in white had been seen by no one else. And then Ron told me that he believed it was more than just an angel- he was deeply impressed that it was Christ, Himself.

iwillgonow: Others of reputable sources say Jesus Himself has come and spoken to them.
iwillgonow: Does this deny His coming in the clouds in glory?

psycho314t: seraphim mentioned in Isa. 6:2, 3, 6, 7. This word means fiery ones, in allusion, as is supposed, to their burning love. They are represented as "standing" above the King as He sat upon his throne, ready at once to minister unto him. Their form appears to have been human, with the addition of wings. (See ANGELS.) This word, in the original, is used elsewhere only of the "fiery serpents" (Num. 21:6, 8; Deut. 8:15; comp. Isa. 14:29; 30:6) sent by God as his instruments to inflict on the people the righteous penalty of sin.

iwillgonow: Yup, the Jews have been without the Ark of the Covenant ever since the seige of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar.
iwillgonow: 600 years before Jesus.
iwillgonow: And if they don't have it, they don't have the tables of shewbread, the candlestick, and Goliath's sword either.

psycho314t: i found a paragraph on that last night
psycho314t: The verse in Jeremiah indicates that God will never return the Ark to the Jews for this purpose. But aside from this, when the Jews went into captivity in Babylon and the temple was destroyed, God spoke through His prophet Ezekiel in giving them new instructions regarding the sacrificial system- instructions which no longer included the Ark of the Covenant. See Ezekiel 44 through 46. And when they returned from captivity, they continued the sacrificial system as God has instructed, but without the Ark. During the time of Christ, they were still performing the sacrificial system, again- without the Ark. There is no reason why they need the Ark to perform the sacrificial system. All they would have to do is build a "table of the Lord" as instructed in Ezekiel 41:22.

iwillgonow: The key is that the Ark is NOT on the mountain named Ararat by Turkey. It's on a mountain less than 50 miles from it.

iwillgonow: Of course an angel was the one that kept the Ark.
