iwillgonow: But the "fire" is here described as "everlasting"-does it burn forever? Of course not-the word translated "everlasting," "aionios" means "an undescribed duration." Vine, in his "Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words" explains: "The use of ‘aionios’ here shows that the punishment referred to....is not temporary, but final, and accordingly, the phraseology shows that its purpose is not remedial but retributive." The fires don’t burn "forever"-they burn until absolutely nothing is left to burn. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? JUDE 1:7; "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah,...are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." Sodom and Gomorrah aren’t still burning, yet they are an "example" of the result of the "eternal fire." It is ultimately cleared up in Revelation: REVELAT

He looks like we expect Him to look; he speaks like we expect Him to sound, and EVERYONE seems to agree-HE’S FINALLY ARRIVED! Is it really Him?

It is being held as a state secret because of the chaos that would be created in both the Jewish and the Arab religious communities if an official announcement were to be made.

This movement is growing daily and is being promoted by certain religious Jews and evangelical Christian groups. There have been several serious incidents in recent years because of their efforts. Because, in their minds, the discovery of the Ark would immediately dictate a call for a “temple” to house it, the official verification of the discovery would undoubtedly be catastrophic.

psycho314t: Nowhere are we admonished to keep Sunday in Scripture. But that day will be set aside by worldly authorities, backed by the power of the state and all will be required to keep that day or be disenfranchised. After a while, if we persist, and refuse to keep that day, we will be put on a death list. A law will be passed, that at midnight of a certain day, all the faithful will be fair game. This law will say after a certain number of days, that anybody that is found keeping the Sabbath can be shot or killed, or whatever, just get rid of them. Ellen White says in Great Controversy that even though there is a set time for this to take place, some of the wicked will anticipate the decree and try to kill the righteous ahead of time, because they will know that nobody is going to do anythi

In this sense the word is used eleven times in our Lord's discourses (Matt. 23:33; Luke 12:5; Matt. 5:22, etc.).
